As we celebrate the United States’ almost unbelievable decision to allow anyone to marry the person they choose, we also remember the long way we have to go in resolving the continued social injustice around the world.
Our heart goes out to African Americans and all people who are black around the world who continue to be subject to oppression and hatred. And our heart also goes out to people who are white and all people of color who continue to suffer with the man-made poisons of racism and discrimination.
May we all live free from the oppression and anger that may be directed toward us and from the oppression and anger that may emerge from within us.
